Yaounde
Yaounde is the capital city of Cameroon. This city was founded in 1988. It was basically formed as a trade centre for ivory exchange by German traders. This is a city that has a serene environment with it major places of interest being museums, natural sites, markets and cultural centres.
Population of Yaounde
Cameroon is one of the countries in West Africa that have a large population density of about seventeen million. The capital city of Yaoundé houses a population density of about one and half million.
Tourism
The capital city is a major tourist attraction centre of Cameroon owing to the fact that it is a home to many cultural centres and museums. The major tourist attraction destinations in this city are; museums, natural sites and markets. The Cameroon art Museum is a major tourist attraction in the city. Other museums are; Benedictine Museum of Mont Febe, and the Small Museum of Camerounese. The indoor market at Mokolo is also another tourist attraction centre.
Mefou National park is another major tourist attraction. This is a park just outside the city but then it is a wonderful place to visit. It is a park where you will enjoy watching the chimpanzees, gorillas, baboons and monkeys.
The city also has zoological park which is a major tourist attraction. The presence of night clubs and beautiful restaurants makes this city a lively place to be.
The city houses various embassy houses which are built in the modern technology hence so attractive. There are also good residential houses in this city.

The city has good places that offer accommodation with the major five star hotels investing in the city like Hilton Hotel, Djeuga Palace Hotel, and many other hotels. These hotels offer high quality services hence this is a good place to stay when in Yaounde. Their costs are equally cheaper.

In Yaoundé, one can buy a property by following the legal procedures set by the city council of Yaounde. There are lands which one can buy then built houses or industries. These lands are available at a relatively cheaper price. All one needs is to follow the right procedure.
Economy
The major industries in Yaoundé are the dairy factories, tobacco industries, breweries, clay work industries, coffee factories and rubber factories. These are the major factories that offer jobs to the large population living in this city of Yaoundé. Yaounde is the major distributor of coffee, cocoa and rubber.
Infrastructure
Yaounde is a city which has a well developed infrastructure ranging from airports to roads. The city is also well connected with railway transport which connects it to the port of Douala. There are many passenger buses operating in the city. The good infrastructure has reduced traffic congestion in the town.
